We don't get much night life in
Napa... at least that's what we used to say. But Napa now has a few intimate clubs that feature an eclectic mix of musicians.
My "Rockin' Roll" girl took me to Silos' for my birthday to see John Nemeth a singer and blues harp player.
He had a "pick up" band with him that really rocked. Kid Andersen on guitar, Ronny Smith on drums and Steve
Airman on bass. Németh learned his craft by listening to the masters and being the featured vocalist for Anson
& the Rockets and the Junior Watson Band. He has played with Charlie Musselwhite and Terry Hanck. They played
a wide ranging selection of blues from Junior Parker, Little Walter, BB King and Jackie Wilson to mention a few. Nemeth
was Nominated-B.B. King Entertainer of the Year-34th Blues Music Awards 2013.
